Seed, Joseph –

Only son of Joseph and Mary Jane Seed, of 19, Venice Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Attached 131st Machine Gun Company. Died from Pneumonia at hospital in Cairo.

Sharrocks, James –

Son of Samuel C. and Cicely Sharrocks, of 575, Bury Road, Breightmet, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 133, Deane Church Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Died of pneumonia contracted during training.

Shields, Reginald –

Grandson of Mrs. Jane Shields, of 81, Brandwood Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at the Brackley Colliery. Formerly Pioneer 297594, Royal Engineers. Died of broncho-pneumonia at the 9th General Hospital in France.

Of 63, Willows Lane, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly a postman at Bolton. Reported missing and subsequently presumed killed.

Simpson, William Robert –

Son of Lilian Simpson (nee Cooey), of Cronk Dhoo Castle, Greeba, St. Johns, Isle of Man, and the late Thomas Edmund Simpson, and formerly of 181, Morris Green Lane, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Elizabeth Simpson (nee Ormston), of 17, Gordon Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Wounded in the Dardanelles and died at hospital in Alexandria, Egypt.
