Formerly Trooper 4381, Duke of Lancaster’s Own Yeomanry. Caught aged 21 as an absentee from Kendal since 23/01/1916 and appeared before Bolton Magistrates 03/02/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26). Attached Machine Gun Corps. Killed by shrapnel. Sometimes also recorded as Harold BAILEY.
