Son of James and Mary Holt, of 10, Baker Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Formerly Driver, Royal Field Artillery. In 1915 he was training mules when one stood on his foot causing injuries which eventially led to his death. Home service only. Interred in Kearsley (St. Stephen) Churchyard on his 23rd birthday, 22/11/1917. Brothers Albert and James both served in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.
