Son of William and Eliza Ann Norris, of 11, Packer Street, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded June 1916 in the hand. Killed after leaving the trenches wounded on a stretcher, when a shell burst and killed him and the stretcher bearers conveying him to the dressing station.
