Formerly an apprentice fitter at the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company’s Horwich Loco Works. Formerly Private 1630, 1st/4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded accidentally by gunshot to right hand 11/07/1915. NOTE: Served as JAMES Ranoe.
