Formerly a tram driver on the Chorley New Road route. Previous service in the South African Campaign. Formerly Corporal 5756, 2nd Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Wounded 02/02/1917.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Isherwood, of 472, Blackburn Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1915. Formerly 5867, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Recorded in local newspapers as “H” Isherwood.

Jackson, Joseph –

Of 17, Charles Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 189, Back Lark Hill, Darcy Lever, and 36, Back Foundry Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught multiple times as a deserter / absentee from appearing before Bolton Magistrates to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27, JBO/1/28 & JBO/1/29).
