Of 63, Back Lark Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 40 as an absentee from Ashton-in-Makerfield since 25/12/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 04/01/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).

Son of Mr. John Lindley, of 24, Ayr Street, Central Falls, and formerly of Taskers Lane, Kearsley, Lancashire. Husband of Mrs. Lindley, of 196, Hall Lane, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly of 25, Cemetery Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. His younger brother served with a Canadian Regiment and was gassed.

Loveless, William –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Loveless, of 168, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire; husband of Florence Loveless, of 162, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Enlisted early 1917. Died at 19th General Hospital, Alexandria having contracted Malaria whilst serving in Palestine.
