Enlisted March 1916. Formerly Private 5210, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died from malaria in Salonika.

Parry, William Henry –

Son of Moses Parry, of 7, Assheton Terrace, Caernarvon, Caernarvonshire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Loco Cleaner at Caernarvon and Patricroft, Lancashire.

Partington, William –

Son of John and Amelia Partington, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Partington, of 211, Tonge Moor Road, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1916. Also reported as PARKINSON in BC.

Pearson, John –

Son of John and Sarah Ellen Pearson, of Swinton, Lancashire. Also served in South Wales Borderers.

Pemberton, Fred –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Pemberton, of 118, Piggott Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1914. Wounded 1918.

Pennington, Thomas Henshaw –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Pennington, of 44, Memorial Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Joined up September 1917. Formerly 41374, Lancashire Fusiliers.

Pilkington, James –

Husband of Martha Jane Pilkington, of 17, Victory Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1917. Formerly 126261, Royal Army Medical Corps.

Pilling, William –

Son of Albert and Nancy Pilling, of 23, Holly Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915. Attached 2nd Bn., Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Died in hospital at Rouen from Influenza and Bronchial Pneumonia.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Plant, of 7, Grundy Hill, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Formerly 6650, Lancashire Fusiliers.

Plimley, John R –

Of 22, Nottingham Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 4202 and 241988, 3rd Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Caught aged 26 as an absentee from Felixstowe since 11/06/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 04/07/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Pollard, James –

Son of Edward and Mary Ann Pollard, of 2, Bobs Lane, Cadishead, Lancashire, and formerly of Ivy Cottage, Station Road, Partington, Lancashire. Drowned at sea from Hospital Ship Transylvania.

Son of Joseph and Alice Powell; husband of Esther Alice Powell, of 29, Everitt Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1916.

Ramsden, Herbert –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ramsden, of 5, Rigby Lane, Bradshaw, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1917. Wounded by an explosive bullet causing a shattered lower jaw and hospitalised at Queen’s Hospital, Frognal in September 1918.
