Son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Sharrocks, of 39, Shipton Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 38704, South Wales Borderers. Hospitalised with wounds in the left leg in June 1918.

Shaw, Alfred George –

Of 62, Balshaw Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 76, Balshaw Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Re-enlisted February 1915, as Private 20279, 21st Bn., Welsh Regiment. Transferred to Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Caught multiple times as an absentee appearing before Bolton Magistrates each time to be sent back to his respective units under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27 & JBO/1/28).

Simpkin, Frank –

Son of Isaac Simpkin; husband of Mary Ann Simpkin, of 40, Lee Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly Private 18907, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment; formerly Private 31848, 2nd Garrison Bn., Cheshire Regiment. Discharged due to sickness, tubercle of lung. Died aged 35 years on 20/06/1918 and interred at Farnworth Cemetery 24/06/1918.

Smart, Richard –

Son of Sarah Ann Smart, of 89, Hulme Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 10, Flag Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously enlisted at Bolton on 09/04/1915 as Private 242873, 3rd Bn., South Lancashire Regiment, and discharged 03/05/1915 having made a mis-statement as to age. Re-enlisted and formerly Private, 7453, 4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Smith, William –

Of 114, Soho Street, Liverpool, Lancashire. Caught as an absentee from Aintree since 25/11/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 04/12/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).

Son of Richard and Mary Ellen Southern, of 23, Bankfield Street, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 16/37233, King’s Liverpool Regiment. Brother Will served in France.
