Jackson, Brian –

Son of Thomas Thornley Jackson, of 96, Chorley New Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1908-1913). Recorded under the Royal Fusiliers (City of London) Regiment on the Bolton County Borough Roll of Honour. Formerly M/302021, Royal Army Service Corps. Rifle Brigade. Posted wounded and missing since 22/03/1918, and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of Mrs. Leach, of 282, Bury New Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1914.

Liptrot, William –

Son of Private James Liptrot and Mrs. Emily Liptrot, of 32, Angle Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously enlisted 07/11/1914 at Farnworth as Private 17601, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, and discharged 15/11/1914 as not likely to become an efficient soldier, and again 06/02/1915 at Rhyl as Private 20365, 15th Bn., Welsh Regiment, and discharged 03/06/1915 as not likely to become an efficient soldier. Re-enlisted as Private 5208, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Claimed to be 19 years old when enlisting. Surname also alternatively recorded as LIPTROTT.

Only son of Mrs. Blanche Martlew, of 62, Hilden Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and later of 1, Crowland Road, Firwood, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Killed in an accident during bomb throwing training at Crowborough near Uckfield, Sussex.
