Porter, John Schofield –

Son of Eliza Jane and the late Richard Porter, of Langdale, Welbeck Road, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Elsie Porter (nee Lee), of “Hazelmere”, 98, Chorley New Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Served as Sergeant Signalling Instructor in his Bn. Died of wounds at the Stationary Hospital, Abbeville, France.

Son of Mr. T. H. and Mrs. M. A. Prescott, of 659, St. Helens Road, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 606, Salford Road, Over Hulton, Lancashire.

Rimmer, William –

Son of Alderman William Rimmer and Rebecca Stanley Rimmer (nee Gibbs), of “Wyndene”, New Hall Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1914 as a Private in the East Lancashire Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. Contracted enteric fever and invalided home. Returned to England December 1916 for training and commissioned 22/07/1917. Died at Langemarck.

Robinson, Thomas Sprowell –

Only son of Mary A. Robinson, of Orchard Farm, Carleton, Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, and the late Thomas Robinson, formerly of “Somerville”, Deane, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of Petrograd, Russia. Formerly 113964, Royal Army Medical Corps, and formerly 51835, 6th Reserve Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Died from injuries sustained in an aeroplane accident. Recorded under Lancashire Fusiliers on SDGW, and Royal Air Force on CWGC.

Only son of Joseph and Mary Jane Seed, of 19, Venice Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Attached 131st Machine Gun Company. Died from Pneumonia at hospital in Cairo.
