Second son of the late John Tonge Coope and Ellen Coope, of 28, Balmoral Road, South Shore, Blackpool, Lancashire, and formerly of 412, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1917. Wounded and taken prisoner 24/03/1918, and died whilst prisoner of war in Germany. Memorial in Kearsley (St. Stephen) Churchyard. Reported as Corporal in F&WJ.
