Woolfenden, Wilfred –

Youngest son of John Herbert and Sarah Hannah Woolfenden, of 22, Mitre Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted into the Royal Aarmy Medical Corps in September 1914 and transferred to the Gordon Highlanders during training. Wounded at the Loos and Hill 60 engagements, several times operated upon and had his right leg amputated above the knee. Died at the General Hospital in Boulogne.
